Bronze Arts Award for Home Educated Children
Creative Writing | Digital Photography | Fashion Design | Animation
Delivered by a Registered Arts Award Centre
We’re excited to offer a self-led Bronze Arts Award, designed specifically with home-educated children in mind. This flexible, nationally recognised qualification is ideal for young people aged 11+ who are ready to explore their creative voice and build confidence through independent work in one of four exciting pathways: Creative Writing, Digital Photography, Fashion Design, or Animation.
What You’re Signing Up For
This award is completely self-led. We provide a comprehensive guide that outlines everything your child needs to do to complete the award. Please note: the guide is detailed (and can be a bit of a heavy read!), but it's there to help you understand exactly what’s expected. We recommend reading through it with your child at the start to get a clear overview.
While the award is led by the young person, parents/carers are responsible for ensuring evidence is collected, labelled, and uploaded. This is a key part of the process and helps us assess the work fairly and efficiently.
Support Throughout the Journey
As your child’s Arts Award Assessor, I’m here to support the process:
You can reach out to me at any time for advice, clarification, or feedback.
Every three months, I offer a one-to-one Zoom meeting (or in-person, depending on location) to check in, review progress, and help keep things on track. These sessions are included in the cost of the award.
Digital Platform
All evidence will be uploaded to a private, secure digital platform. Each student receives:
A personal account (accessible only to you and your child unless you choose to invite others).
Organised folders for uploading clearly labelled evidence (photos, videos, writing, etc.).
Access to the platform for 18 months, allowing plenty of time to complete the award at your own pace.
We are fully compliant with the UK Data Protection Act, and your data will never be shared without your permission. Trinity College does not store personal information.
Certification & Moderation
Once your child’s work is submitted and assessed, it will be sent to Trinity College London for verification.
After assessment is completed:
A digital certificate will be sent to the registration email you provided.
If you would prefer a printed certificate, you can order one directly from Trinity College for a small fee.
Please note: certificates can take up to 8 weeks after submission to be issued, depending on moderation schedules and processing times.
Timeframe for Completion
There’s no set deadline, but your platform access lasts for 18 months from the date your account is activated.
If the award is not completed within that time, you will need to re-enrol to continue.
